The Odyssey Foundation primarily contributes to non-profit organizations that directly or indirectly benefit terminally ill patients and their families.

The IRS recognizes the foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit; all contributions to the foundation are tax deductible.

Donations to the Foundation may be made by check (payable to "Odyssey HealthCare Foundation") and sent to any of our local Hospices. To locate an Odyssey service area near you, please visit our Odyssey Locations page. Please do not send contributions to the Dallas, Texas, Harwood Street address.

Recent Contributions

  • A $100,0000 challenge grant to the Dream Foundation, the only nationwide make-a-wish organization for adults, to fund a Senior Day Dream program, which will grant wishes to terminally ill 65-year-olds. Before the Odyssey Foundation grant, the Dream Foundation only served 18 to 65 year olds.

  • $75,000 to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization to fund development and dissemination of research that assists hospices in caring for terminally ill children and to fund hospices in Romania and Sub-Sahara Africa serve more patients.

  • $300,000 to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization to fund a pilot program to educate senior adults and their families about their Medicare hospice benefit.
